Micah Cargo is a Birmingham business owner and self professed sage. He has been handing out common-sense advice to the senseless for most of his life. Being brought up by a single mom and three wise old southern grandparents equipped Micah with the tools needed to get through life with a little humor, a little intelligence, and not a small amount of bitterness. "My advice has helped many, guided some, and only rarely killed a few."

Without a doubt, the wittiest commentary I have read in some time - AND the advice is sound. Good for B-Metro for selecting such a top flight columnist.
This guy is a keeper. I will mutiny and remove my membership if he isn't made king of B-Metro.
Loved it! Good Advice and Humor~ The Sex and the City of Birmingham!
The most entertaining reading I've experienced in quite some time! I just love the "Bless it" remark. You're so right when you say it carries a different meaning here in the south. Our grandmothers must have known each other~mine said the same thing! Micah, if you wrote a book, there's no doubt it would be one you just couldn't put down! Have you ever given it any thought? Great find B-Metro!
I love it! Brutal honesty with humor! I need more of this.
Loved your article!!!! God Bless It!!
I LOVE IT!
There's an awesome Leonard Cohen song that starts off, "If it be your will that I speak no more and my voice be still, as it was before; I will speak no more, I shall abide until I am spoken for, if it be your will." How terrific that a song exists with the exact message a lot of us mothers need: to stay quiet until our advice is requested. I confess extreme weakness in this area, but I'm working on it. Thanks, Micah, for nailing many of us right where we need it.
Micah you truly are hilarious! I love and miss you!!!!!
